You Are Mine.

My little dolly,

As I think of what to write you this year on your third birthday, three words keep coming to mind, "you are mine".

The moment you were born, I took you into my arms, looked into your eyes and whispered "you are mine". I just knew that you and I were to be inseparable. This proved true. We've spent the last three years glued to the hip whenever we're together. We can be in a crowded room, but I am lonely if my little Mimi isn't on my lap playing with my hair.

This year you have blossomed into such a sweet, fun, spicy girl. You spend the days in a semi-imaginative state, where you're the princess (Cinderella, to be exact), and we all play parts in your story. I love watching you sing made-up songs that tell the story of what's going on in that sweet head. You are such a good little talker. You tell us "every ting es gong be ok" (everything is going to be ok) especially when you're about to do something naughty.

You are exceptionally brave. I don't have to worry about you standing up for yourself, as you do that quite well yourself. Your not afraid of anybody and stick up for others around you, even your parents and older sister. You show your love for us in constant loves and spicy, hilarious wit. We love every minute we spend with you.

You find your way into my bed each night. I can't say no, as the entire night is a long time to be away from you. We are always the last to wake up and we like to take our time getting morning cuddles. You play with my hair and I tickle your back. Slowly we get out of bed to face the day, grateful for the small amount of time we had together telling each other, "you are mine".

Forever yours,
Mommy

A Note to Heaven

My sweet Beebo asked for my help writing a letter to my mom who passed.

Here is what it says:
"Dear Grandma Alice,
Thank you for the whole stuff you did for us.
Love You."

I later found the note out in this bush.

I asked her why she put it in the bush, and she answered me, "So the wind can take it to heaven."

I think I will write my mom a letter and put it in the bush whenever I need to let her know I am thankful for the whole stuff she did for me. I am sure it will make it to heaven.

Why Cousins are Awesome

First, the cousins get together for a nice picture showing off their awesome dressing skills. But wait! Mimi is doing her own thing.
Now Charly is getting a taste of the awesome rebellious lifestyle of Mimi. Alice tries to hold the insanity together.
Charly is intrigued by the awesome dance Mimi is doing. Alice has given up and is now going into modeling mode.
All alone with her modeling awesomeness. Just another day in cousin paradise.

Late-Night (9:15pm) Conversations with my 4-Yr Old

Mom, I made two wishes on a star that came true. One was that you would have a baby in your tummy, and the other one was that I wouldn't be afraid of the dark.

Mom, I think that even though I am 4, that I am smart and kind enough to be ready for Kindergarten. Why do they call it Kindergarten? Is it a garden?

Mom, who were your Mommy and Daddy? (We look at pictures of my parents who passed). I remember them, but I can't remember their voices anymore. Are you sad and lonely that they are gone? Is that why you live so close to your sisters?

Mom, why did they put a nail in Jesus's hands and feet? Why didn't they just use the rope to tie him, like what they did with the robbers? Why were they so mean to Jesus?

Mom, we are going to be SO tired tomorrow for staying up so late talking.

(This morning...) Dad, I am SO tired. Mom and I stayed up SO late talking last night.

(I LOVE you my little one. I hope we stay up late talking a million more times.)

Soccer!!

Alice's first day of soccer is today! To say that Nate and I have been waiting 4 years and 10 months for this day would NOT be an exaggeration.

It's a BOY!

Meet Atticus Ray Farnsworth, to be born August 18, 2012.

We CANNOT wait to meet this little guy.

(Do you think he'll ever forgive me for putting a picture of his wee-wee on the internets? Probably not.)
